Travel Guides

Practical, specific guidance for planning a Himachal or Nepal trip — written from what our travellers actually ask us.

Why We Write These

Practical Answers, Not Generic Tips

Most travel guide content online is written to rank for keywords rather than to answer what a traveller actually needs to know before they book. Ours works the other way — every guide below started as a question our travel desk gets asked repeatedly on calls, whether that's about the exact Sonauli border process, how cold Manali really gets in January, or what to pack for a Char Dham trek.

Seasonal timing comes up more than anything else — travellers want to know not just "when is it cold" but specifically whether a particular week will have snow, or whether monsoon rain will affect a Nepal trip planned for August. Border and travel logistics are the second most common topic, particularly for first-time Nepal travellers.

What We Cover

The Questions Behind These Guides

Budget and cost breakdowns come up often too, particularly from first-time Himachal travellers trying to compare our pricing against other quotes. We try to be specific — not just a single headline number, but what changes between a budget, standard and premium version of the same trip, so you can see exactly where the cost difference comes from.

Destination-specific guides — what's actually worth doing versus what's just commonly photographed — round out the rest, usually written after we've sent enough travellers to a place to have a genuine sense of what holds up against the hype. We'd suggest reading the relevant guide first, then filling the enquiry form to get a quote built around your actual situation.

How To Use These Guides

Read, Then Talk To Us

These guides are meant to answer the general version of a question — when Himachal typically sees snow, what documents you'll generally need for Nepal. Your specific trip will always have details a general guide can't cover: your exact dates, who's travelling with you, your budget range. That's where a direct conversation with our travel desk fills the gap a written guide can't.

We'd suggest reading the relevant guide first so you're asking informed questions, then filling the enquiry form to get a quote and itinerary built around your actual situation rather than the general case. We'll also keep adding to this list as new questions come up on calls each week.

Topics We're Still Adding

What's Coming Next

This list grows as new questions come up on calls with travellers. We're currently working on guides covering Nepal's trekking permits for travellers extending beyond Pokhara, a detailed breakdown of Char Dham helicopter versus trek options, and a comparison of hotel categories across our Himachal partner properties so travellers can see exactly what changes between a standard and deluxe booking.

If there's a specific question you'd like answered here, message our travel desk and we'll either point you to an existing guide or add a new one covering it.

Reader Note

Written From Real Calls, Not Keyword Research

If a guide here reads a bit differently from typical travel content online, that's deliberate. We're not writing to rank for a search term first and answer a question second — every guide started as a real question asked by a real traveller on a call or through an enquiry, and we've kept the tone close to how we'd actually explain it to you directly.

Free To Use

No Booking Required To Read These

These guides are here whether or not you eventually book with us — if they're useful for planning a trip you end up organizing yourself or through another agency, that's fine too. We'd simply rather be a genuinely useful resource than gate practical information behind a sales conversation.

Practical answers to the questions travellers actually ask, updated as new questions come in.
