Baba Baijnath Dham, the Baidyanath Temple in Deoghar, Jharkhand, is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva and among the most significant Shiva pilgrimage sites in eastern India. This package plans the full road journey, with darshan support and a paced schedule that works whether you're travelling during the crowded Shravan (Bol Bam) season or visiting at a quieter time of year. While this route is planned from Gorakhpur, pickup can be arranged from Varanasi, Patna or any other city on the way to Deoghar on request.

The Bol Bam tradition centres on kanwariyas — devotees who carry holy Ganga water from Sultanganj, roughly 105 km from Deoghar, on foot, chanting "Bol Bam" as an offering to Shiva. Our package doesn't require the walking pilgrimage itself; we drive the route and focus on comfortable, well-organized darshan, though travellers who specifically want the traditional kanwar walk can request that variation.

Deoghar itself sits roughly 550–600 km from Gorakhpur, making this a genuine multi-day road trip rather than a quick excursion. Along with the main Baidyanath Temple, the nearby Basukinath Temple and Nandan Pahar hill are commonly included as part of the same visit.

The Hindu month of Shravan (typically July–August) is the most significant time to visit, when the Bol Bam tradition draws enormous numbers of kanwariyas and the temple town takes on a genuinely unique atmosphere — but also means very long darshan queues, sometimes several hours. October to March offers a calmer, more comfortable visit with shorter waits, if darshan itself matters more to you than experiencing the Shravan crowds.
