Stories, planning tips and honest advice from our travel desk in Gorakhpur, written for Himachal and Nepal travellers.

Kept Current

How Often We Update This

Travel information goes stale faster than most content — a border process changes, a hotel closes, a road that used to be reliable in a certain season starts having issues. We revisit posts whenever a traveller flags something that's changed, or when our own on-ground experience no longer matches what a post says. This isn't a blog run on a fixed publishing schedule; new posts appear when there's something worth saying, and existing ones get revised when the facts on the ground shift.

Everything here comes out of actual trips we've planned and actual questions travellers ask before booking — snowfall timing in Manali, what the Sonauli border crossing really looks like, how to pack for a Char Dham trek. We update this blog as new questions come up on calls, rather than publishing on a fixed content calendar, so what's here reflects what current travellers are actually asking.

Where This Comes From

Written By The People Who Plan The Trips

Every post on this blog is written by someone on our travel desk, not an outside content writer working from a brief. When we write about McLeod Ganj's monastery circuit or the Sonauli border crossing, it's because someone on our team has walked that route or coordinated that crossing dozens of times with actual travellers.

That also means our posts sometimes contradict the more polished, generic advice you'll find elsewhere — like being honest that the Sarangkot sunrise doesn't work out on a meaningful percentage of mornings. We'd rather set accurate expectations than write something more optimistic that leaves you disappointed on the day. If there's a question you don't see answered here, message our travel desk directly.

What We Write About

Our posts fall into a handful of recurring topics: seasonal planning, border and travel logistics for Nepal trips, destination-specific guides for Himachal towns, and practical advice for family, honeymoon and group travellers based on what we've seen work across thousands of bookings. We don't publish generic "top 10 places to visit" content; every post exists because a version of that question came up on a real call with a real traveller.

If you don't see an answer to something specific, our travel desk is faster than searching — most questions we can answer directly over a call in less time than it takes to read a full guide. We'll keep expanding this list as new patterns emerge from calls each season.

A Note On Accuracy

We'd Rather Be Right Than Polished

You'll notice our posts sometimes include caveats and uncertainty — "the Sarangkot sunrise doesn't always work out," for instance — rather than the unconditionally positive tone most travel content defaults to. That's intentional. We'd rather set accurate expectations before you book than have you discover a gap between what you read and what you experienced.
