Package Overview

Manali remains our most-booked single-destination Himachal package — Solang Valley's cable car, Hadimba Temple's cedar forest, and the café lanes of Old Manali, all within a relaxed 5N/6D circuit. Every hotel, cab and sightseeing stop is pre-arranged before you arrive.

About This Journey

Manali sits at roughly 2,050 metres in the Kullu Valley, where the Beas River cuts through pine and deodar forest below the Pir Panjal range. It grew from a quiet apple-farming town into Himachal's most-visited hill station because it packs an unusual range of experiences into a small radius — snow-line adventure sports, colonial-era temples, and a backpacker café culture in Old Manali that feels distinct from the rest of the state.

For most of our travellers, Manali is the single destination that defines a first Himachal trip. The town splits naturally into two moods: the busier main bazaar and New Manali for shopping and standard sightseeing, and quieter Old Manali across the river for cafés and a slower pace — we build time for both into this itinerary.

Best Time to Visit

October to February is peak season for snow — Manali regularly sees snowfall from late December through February, and this is by far our highest-demand window. Temperatures drop below freezing at night, so warm layers and waterproof footwear matter.

March to June offers the most reliable weather for sightseeing without snow-related disruption — daytime temperatures between 10°C and 25°C. July to September is monsoon season; the valley turns deep green but occasional heavy rain can affect outdoor plans.

Itinerary — Day by Day

Day 1

Arrival in Manali

Your private cab picks you up from Chandigarh or Delhi and begins the scenic climb into the Kullu Valley, following the Beas River for much of the route. After check-in at your hotel, spend the evening exploring Manali's Mall Road — a pedestrian stretch lined with shawl shops, cafés and street-food stalls that stays lively well after sunset. No sightseeing is scheduled today; the day is kept light to let you settle in after the journey.

Day 2

Hadimba Temple & Old Manali

Start the morning at Hadimba Devi Temple, a wooden pagoda-style shrine set inside a dense deodar cedar forest — unusual architecture even by Himachal standards, and one of Manali's most-photographed stops. After lunch, cross the Beas River into Old Manali, where narrow lanes wind past orchard-lined guesthouses and a noticeably slower pace than the main bazaar; this is where most of Manali's café culture actually lives, so leave time to sit rather than just walk through.

Day 3

Solang Valley

A short drive brings you to Solang Valley, Manali's signature glacial valley and the base for its cable car up toward the ridge line. In winter (December–February) this is where most snow activities happen — sledging, tobogganing and short ski sessions are all available on-site at seasonal rates not included in the package. Even outside snow season, the cable car ride and views toward the Atal Tunnel road are worth the visit on a clear day.

Day 4

Rohtang Pass / Kothi Excursion

Rohtang Pass, at over 3,900 metres, typically opens from May to October depending on snow clearance and requires an advance permit, which we arrange as part of this excursion when the pass is accessible. When Rohtang is closed for the season, we substitute a visit to Kothi — a quieter valley viewpoint roughly 15 km from Manali with dramatic gorge views — so the day's excursion is never simply cancelled outright.

Day 5

Leisure & Naggar Castle

Today is left deliberately open for whatever you didn't get to earlier — final shopping for Kullu shawls and local pashmina, a slower breakfast, or revisiting a spot you liked. Travellers who'd rather stay active can add an optional half-day trip to Naggar Castle, a 16th-century timber-and-stone royal residence roughly 20 km from Manali with valley views most day-trippers to the main town never see.

Day 6

Departure

After breakfast, check out and begin the private transfer back to Chandigarh or Delhi. We build in a buffer for the return drive so a late-morning departure still comfortably makes an evening flight or train connection; let your travel desk contact know your onward timing in advance so the pickup can be scheduled accordingly.

Why Book This With Us

Every hotel and driver on this itinerary has been personally checked by someone on our team — not pulled from a third-party listing we've never verified. If a hotel becomes unavailable or a route needs adjusting before your trip, we call you before it becomes your problem to discover on arrival, rather than leaving you to find out at check-in.

Our travel desk stays reachable by phone for the full length of your trip, not just until you've paid the advance. That matters most when something minor goes sideways — a delayed pickup, a room mix-up — and there's an actual person to call who already knows your itinerary.
